MFRC Steering Committee, meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at the DNRC, Missoula, 2-5 p.m.

Bitterroot Restoration Committee, meets the 3rd Monday of the month at the Bitterroot Forest Supervisor Office, 6-8:30 p.m.

Lolo Restoration Committee, meets the 2nd Tuesday of every other month at the Missoula Area Economic Development Corp., 6-8:30 p.m. 

Lincoln Restoration Committee, meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Lincoln Public Library, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Elkhorns Restoration Committee, meets the 2nd Tues. of every month.

Forest Products Retention Roundtable, meets the 2nd Friday of each month at the DNRC, Missoula, 1-3 p.m.

MFRC Full Committee meets twice a year - May and November.

Steering Committee

The MFRC elected a Steering Committee to which it delegated day-to-day operational and executive functions, as well as strategic planning, fundraising and outreach. In turn, the Steering Committee appoints co-chairs, who also act as co-chairs of the MFRC. The duties of the Steering Committee are to:

  • Set the agenda for MFRC meetings 
  • Guide the development of new committees
  • Ensure the work of the MFRC and committees is being conducted within the spirit and intent of the Principles
  • Propose an annual budget to the MFRC
  • Authorize the expenditure of funds based on approved budget
  • Selects and approves staff, contractors and facilitators
  • Recruit membership for the Forest Restoration Committees and the MFRC
  • Ensure a balance of interests is maintained on the Steering Committee, MFRC, and the Forest Restoration Committees
  • Pursue funding sources to accomplish budget requirements

The Steering Committee meetings are held the second Thursday of the month from 2-5 p.m. at the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation (DNRC) in Missoula. The public is invited to attend.
